Principal

As Tax Shareholder, Dan’s areas of proficiency include entity selection, acquisitions and dispositions of businesses, tax deferred exchanges, and tax accounting issues involving depreciation, utilization of the cash method, inventory, installment sales, and long-term contracts. His career experience spans government contractors, construction contractors, manufacturers, real estate, S corporations, acquisitions and dispositions, partnerships, multistate taxation and individual taxation. Most of Dan’s clients are closely held businesses. He has a planning mindset and constantly tries to get the best tax results to his clients on a timely basis.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting, with Highest Honors, from the University of Texas, Austin, and a Master’s in Professional Accounting with a Specialization in Federal Taxation from UT Austin.  He enjoys hiking, swimming and watching sports.  Dan joined LevitZacks in 1983.
